Statement
The Master of Health Management (MHM) program is committed to learning, listening, and creating inclusive and safer spaces to engage Indigenous, Black, racialized, and equity-deserving students, staff, faculty, and members of the community. Our goal is to administer a program that respects Indigenous sovereignty, racial justice, and human rights, to create healthcare professionals, leaders, educators, and researchers to advance equity, quality, and safety for all members of our community. The MHM program is dedicated to embedding anti-racism, anti-oppression and the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission into our curriculum and training. We are committed to increasing the racial and intersectional diversity of staff, faculty, and students, and to promoting anti-racist and anti-oppressive behavior and culturally inclusive and safer learning environments and relationships. As part of our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenous Reconciliation (EDI-IR) goals and commitments, our admission review team is comprised of members from a variety of backgrounds to best represent the diversity of our applicant population.
